When I first started traveling regularly, I tried lots of different travel gear and accessories. Now I have a handful of things that I make sure to bring on every trip – and they make great gifts for the travelers in your life.

1. Universal Power Adapter

This adapter lets you plug in your electronics pretty much anywhere in the world. It converts your power prongs to match the outlets of other countries. As an added bonus, it also has USB ports (4 regular and 1 USB-C) so you can plug in your USB chargers while you have other electronics plugged in.

2. Power Strip / Outlet Extender for travel

You know when you’re sitting in the airport needing to charge your phone and all of the outlets are taken? With this travel sized power strip you can offer to plug it in, and many people can use it. It has 3 electrical plugs, plus three USB ports (1 regular, 2 USB-C).

I have used this to make friends in the airport, plus you can use it with your travel adapter to plug in multiple items while only using one adapter. It makes a great gift for travelers and it’s super affordable!

3. Travel Laundry Bag

I love this bag for storing my dirty clothes. If you’re headed to a laundromat during your trip, it looks great for carting around your clothes. And it has a world map on it – who doesn’t love maps?  I got this one as a gift, and I bring it on every trip. It will make a great gift for the traveler in your life, too!

4. Space Saver Clothing Compression Bags

These save so much space in a suitcase! No vacuum needed – just push the air out and the bag flattens down. For short trips I use one bag, for long trips I take two. Another great gift for your favorite traveler.

5. Toiletry Bag

I used a plastic baggie for years, but periodically had to deal with broken seals and tears. I love having a reusable one. It’s more sturdy, and I keep my liquids in it between trips. This one is quart sized so that it is TSA approved for carry on luggage. If you are looking for something to put all your toiletries in for a checked bag, you want something bigger. If you want something for carry on liquids, this is the perfect choice.

If you know a traveler still trying to carry their toiletries in a baggie, this is the perfect travel gift!

6. Travel Hair Dryer

Sometimes hotels have hair dryers, sometimes they don’t. If you feel the need to dry your hair on vacation, this is a great travel blow dryer. It’s small and compact, and it has a little button you can turn to change the voltage to match the country you’re in.

If a traveler on your gift list likes their hair to look good for all the photos, this is a great gift!

7. Noise Canceling Headphones

These can be a lifesaver for travelers! Drown out airplane noises, people noises, and anything else you don’t want to listen to while traveling. There are many different brands available, which means many different price points, so you’re sure to find the right pair for your budget. The traveler in your life will thank you for this awesome traveler gift!

8. Portable Charger Power Bank

Yes, I use my phone a lot on vacation. It takes photos, handles translations, helps me find my way, locate great restaurants and more. Those things can drain your battery life pretty quickly. I usually bring two power packs with me, so one can be charging while the other is being used.

This is a very useful gift for travelers – it helps make it through the day without losing access to maps and the other things that help make travel easier.

9. Pashmina

I love pashmina scarves because they are so versatile. Chilly in the airport? Wrap it around your shoulders as a shawl. Cold on the plane? Use it as blanket. Walking off the plane? Wrap it around your neck as a scarf and it’s out of your way. When you get to your destination, it’s a great way to dress up an outfit or get an extra day out of a set of clothes by changing up the look a bit.

10. Collapsible water bottle

I bring one of these on every trip because I always use it in the airport and on the plane. When not in use, you can fold it up and put it in a purse or pocket. When full, you can clip it on to a bag or belt loop. It helps for those days when you are gone from your hotel from morning to night and aren’t certain how much water access you will have, or if you or worried about the water being drinkable. Fill this up with good, safe water before you head out.

Great gift for travelers – keep them hydrated with ease!
